Local Agency Receives DAODAS Grant
Community Initiatives has received $42,378 from the South Carolina Safe and Drug-Free Schools and Communities grant to provide All Stars, a science-based prevention education programming, to at-risk youth in Greenwood County for fiscal year 2007/2008.
Community Initiatives to Receive Tobacco Cessation Funding
Community Initiatives was awarded $8000 by the South Carolina Tobacco Collaborative to address three areas of tobacco use concern in Greenwood County, Elizabeth Bethel, the agency’s Executive Director said.
Clinic Gratis
Clinica Gratis has now moved to the Brewer Annex, 307 N. Hospital Street, between GLEAMNS and the Brewer Community Complex. Clinica Gratis is open on Mondays. Sign-in begins at 5:30. Clinica Gratis provides primary healthcare and referral services without fee. Service is available in both Spanish and English.
