Brittney Wells, Chairperson, Board of Directors

Brittney Wells is the Regulatory and Quality Manager for Essential Ingredients, Inc., located in Lawrenceville, GA. Prior to joining Essential Ingredients, Brittney worked in various roles including Quality Control, Regulatory and Quality Assurance, at Capsugel®, Now a Lonza Company. Brittney completed her undergrad at Lander University with a major in Chemistry and minor in Biology. She has also received a master’s degree in Management from Lander. Brittney currently resides in Greenwood, SC and serves on the boards of local non-profits such as Greenwood Area Habitat for Humanity and Community Initiatives, Inc. She is also a steering committee member of the Greenwood Chamber of Commerce Women’s Leadership Council. Brittney’s hobbies include spending quality time with her family, being an active member of CrossFit Greenwood, and photography.​
Doug Kauffmann
Vice Chairperson​
Rev. Kauffmann is the retired pastor of Connie Maxwell Baptist Church and teaches world religions part time at Lander University. He also serves as a director on The Lander Foundation's Board of Directors and is an active member of the Rotary Club of Greenwood. He is entering his third year of service as a part of Community Initiatives, Inc.'s Board of Directors after being a part of the organization's 2019 Capital Campaign committee.
Chris Thomas
Treasurer
Pastor Chris Thomas shepard's New Generation Outreach Ministry in Greenwood, SC and he is also the executive director of GLEAMNS' Benjamin E. Mays Historical Preservation Site. An active community advocate, Thomas serves a mentor for MODELS Academy among many other activities he is a part of. He is entering his third year of service as a part of Community Initiatives, Inc.'s Board of Directors.
